The package contains
1 x BakeRolls Cannoli Set (set of 10)
Ingredients for the pastry rolls:
- 250 g flour
- 30 g sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
- 30 g butter (cold, cut into pieces)
- 1 egg
- 60 ml white wine or water
- Oil for deep-frying
For the filling:
- 250 g ricotta
- 80 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: chocolate chips, lemon zest, chopped pistachios
Preparation:
- Mix the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Work in the butter, then add the egg and wine/water. Knead into a smooth dough.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes, then roll it out thinly and cut out circles.
- Wrap each pastry circle around a BakeRolls™ mold and seal well.
- Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown, drain, and carefully remove from the molds.
- For the filling, stir the ricotta with powdered sugar and vanilla until creamy. Refine to taste.
- Use a piping bag to fill the cooled cannoli.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately. Buon appetito!
Tip: For extra crunch, dip the ends in melted chocolate!
